Syriant (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through syriant.com, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Enquiries. When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, company (if given), what you need help with and your message.
• How you found us. With an enquiry we also record the page you first landed on, the referring website, and any campaign details in the link you followed (such as UTM tags or a Google Ads click ID). This tells us which of our marketing works.
• Site usage. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, time on site, approximate location (city level), device and browser. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this.
• Advertising. If you arrive from one of our Google ads, Google Ads uses cookies to tell us whether the visit led to an enquiry. We don’t receive your identity from Google.
• Email. If you email us directly, we keep the correspondence.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, to discuss and provide our services, to keep records of our work with clients, and to improve this site and our marketing. We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t add you to a mailing list without asking.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site:

• Netlify hosts this site and receives contact-form submissions on our behalf.
• Google provides Google Analytics and Google Ads.

These providers are based overseas, mainly in the United States, so your information may be stored and processed outside Australia. We only use providers that protect personal information to a recognised standard. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies and your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, and control ad personalisation in Google’s ad settings. The “how you found us” details are held in your browser only for the current visit and are cleared when you close the tab.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and client correspondence for as long as we need them to work with you and to meet our legal and tax obligations, then delete them. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google account.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including using reputable providers and limiting access to the people who need it.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@syriant.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.

If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
